Mike's Recovery Update - Let's Stand Together in Faith
Update on Michael
Mike has been making significant progress in his recovery. On Jan. 30th, he was released from the hospital and is now on track with his PT schedule. This was exciting news, and now Michael has officially begun his journey of getting 1% better day by day. Something we all should strive to do as individuals. We continue to pray for a speedy recovery, Mike.
We all learned valuable lessons from this situation. It comes down to respecting the weather conditions and slowing down when visibility is bad. We all should wear helmets when operating a sled or any machinery, even when skiing/snowboarding. Your life can change instantly with one bad fall or accident on the snowmobile. Thankfully, Mike wore his helmet, and by the grace of our Lord, his life was saved that day. However, there is something bigger we can all learn from this accident, and our answer has to be the Son of the Lord, Jesus Christ. He has a plan for you, Mike, and us all.
Matthew 6:25-34,
Jesus says, "Don't worry about food or clothing. Look at the birds - they're fed without working, and God clothes the field's grass beautifully. If God cares for birds and flowers, won't He care for you? Worrying adds nothing to your life. Instead, seek God's kingdom, and your needs will be provided.
Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean NOT on your understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Mike, stay strong in your faith and take it day by day. We all need to trust the Lord's plan for us. It is not easy and never will be. So much can happen daily, so we need to remember Matthew 6:34 says: "Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Each day has enough trouble on its own!
We will all face problems, roadblocks, setbacks, failure, and sin, but we will also receive grace and have times of success and celebration! Respond to the trouble by putting your faith in the Lord, responding with prayer, respecting others, being present, helping others, and living the life Jesus gifted you.
